My baggage (at least the piece I didn't lose on my last trip) is fairly light yet colorful. I'm reasonably low-maintenance, in my humble opinion! Possible deal breakers? I'm politically and fiscally conservative yet steadfastly independent, an extremely early riser, a diehard (nearly lifelong) SF Giants fan. Other than that, I'm flexible/changeable.
What floats my boat? The aforementioned Giants, my badly-behaved black cat, comfort food, bicycling, beautifully-written fiction (irrespective of genre), extreme discounts, CNBC in the morning, early Spring and late Fall, Eric Clapton, Keurig, smiles of strangers, warm/crusty sourdough, quilting, musical performance, Hawaii, my sisters, Oregon Coast, Neil Diamond, cruising to anywhere/nowhere, Yosemite, firm handshakes, warm hugs and hearty belly laughs.
What would someone who seemingly has it all (ha!) want in a partner? Common sense, financial independence, fully-loaded tool belt, sparkling eyes that look at me (not through me), partnership-seeking, intelligence, honesty, warmth. And a love of adventure!
I'm working on my next chapter. Wanna be part of the adventure or just another reader?
A lesson I've learned and one I'll always remember--a great quote by Mark Twain, and a source of guidance for all of us seeking a partner: “Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option."
