Nutshell of it: Lived in NY for the first half of my adult life. Moved back to the Midwest when family obligations called and, now that they're done, rebooted in a Madison. Write stuff for a living and for fun, live on a shoe-string in order slog away at my silly stories, not a conventional existence but I did conventional for a long time & maybe I'll go back, but I've figured out a formula that works for now. Unabashedly and zealously progressive and it informs most of my work. So, y'know, If you're a big Drumpf person, f()ck off. Sorry. Needs to be said. (To be clear: This is not me being "cute" & no, I don't think we can playfully differ on politics. It's a fundamental metric of whether or not I will think you are a good person.)
I make a bit of dough playing music and still hit the road now and then to do so. I like dogs because they are hilarious dorks and I consider about 98% of them my friends even if I haven't met them yet. I love my apartment so much I think it should win the Nobel Prize for Apartments. I am not a foodie, but I cook things, sans recipes, that will kick your olfactory's ass. I am the rare monster who doesn't like or get "camping." I don't feel jealousy. Anymore I'm kind of skeeved by it. I like rainy days, Futurama, Coen Bros movies, screwball comedies, Thai food and learning new history as often as possible.
Oh, and yeah, sorry, I'm smoking again. It's been on and off it and then the world went to utter he!l and my anti-cig RX has a side-effect of amplifying anxieties, so it's kind of a pick-your-poison thing right now. I keep clean, but if it's a deal-breaker, I get it, no worries. One good reason to start making a better world.
I'm honestly ok being single & am probably bad at dating, what little I do, but I'm good at conversation over a few c@cktails & I kind of miss looking forward to seeing someone who makes doing fun sh!t more fun. So figure it's worth a taking a shot, just to see what's possible.
PS: Please feel free to send a shout, but, if you do reach out, please send something more than "hi" or "what's up" or "i like your profile." That kind of stuff isn't really much to go on in terms of sussing what we might have to gab about. And, to be absolutely clear, If you are a Republican, objectivist or evangelical/born-again, in the unlikely event you haven't clicked off to another profile by now, you might strongly consider doing. Best of luck with everything -- particularly your conscience -- but we will click in exactly zero ways.
