I'm a smart, honest, funny, sane and kind man, but with extraordinary and eccentric tastes. I travel to other countries in my down-time, often for extended periods of time, and the times I have with the people I meet are exhilarating. I like to cook, but could use some practice; I stay in shape, but don't obsess over image; I am romantic, but can be stubborn at times; I'm educated, but I don't judge. I'm not driven by money, though I'm responsible with what i've got.
I teach in Orange County, and volunteer as an ESL teacher once a week. I'm very happy with my life, and want to share that with someone; I'm not looking for someone to "complete me", either, and I seek the same in a person. I'm at a very good place in life, and am over my young-and-dumb phase.
I think kindness trumps everything else in life, and is the most important quality in a person--frankly, people like that are hard to find. Personality goes a long way with me, as does intelligence. I don't care for flaky people, and have little patience for narcissism or materialistic people; if your sense of self-worth is riding on the amount of compliments you recieve, this might not work out. Otherwise, I'm a warm, romantic, gentle guy who loves to have fun.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I dont think the place or activity is important. What matters, however, is the conversation and the chemistry; the whole point is to see if you get along well together. Dating is as much about getting to know yourself as the other person. If we can be comfortable being ourselves around the other person, that's a special thing to share...and a great first date.
