I play guitar and I Love to sail --- I'm a wine novice in need of some more instruction
camping, riding, anything outdoors. and Traveling is mandatory. get your passport ready
Live music large or small, Indoors or out, Classic Rock,Outlaw Country and almost every other genre sans rap. I'll go to see anything from Willie to Rush, George Jones to Iggy Pop. and do I dare say. . . . . I've seen Elvis. I have always loved Elvis and he is generally my choice for many a canto douche. So I guess what I'm saying here is if you're a music fan, . . we're good
I hate commercials and rarely smile at a salesperson whom I haven't asked for.
Love history and would be really OK teaching history someday
I can cook and like it . . . alot! I can see myself someday having a bar & grill where i can cook, play music with the band and generally keep up my reputation as an awesome host :-p
I can also see myself sailing blue waters with my soul mate. The world beckons. Really!!!
a Harley or Harleys definitely gotta be in the mix too.. . . . . On my off time, I prefer flip-flops, shorts and a tank.
My ideology is fairly balanced with a branch or two this way or that. Live and let Live I say.
I am very laid back and introverted out of the gate. But, once I feel we're on same page, I will talk you silly. I very much want intellect and reason to define our conversations. well most of them anyway. I am definitely a Glass Half Full eternal optimist. I have my fathers great sense of humor and am not afraid to use it. Frowns will be prosecuted with extreme prejudice while smile to laughter conversion may be a common occurrence . . . .no charge.
I am not religious in the traditional sense but I am deeply spiritual. I would consider the term Gnostic to be an acceptable label if one were needed. To me, ones beliefs are personal and unique and should not be trifled with. I welcome theological and spiritual discussion though and am always interested in others views. I am never to far along to learn new concepts and you will always find me a willing teacher. I agree, we should share some fundamental values yet be open minded where they differ. I do not judge nor play the right or wrong game with your views, beliefs or opinions. I may tug at you for a little light hearted debate now and then if only to test your resolve and I welcome the same.
I never slowed down long enough to begin a family and I like to think children are still in my future. I've never been more ready to be a father and i think i'm very well equipped by now to do so.
However, having said all that, I will trade that largely unknown prospect in on a sure thing soul mate situation. One that may very well sustain the both of us for the rest of our days. In other words, a no children mate is NOT a deal killer. But, if you do want kids . . .by all means . . . Bring It!! There are great upsides to either situation and I would readily exploit either of those to the fullest. See, I'm flexible too
I'm 49. . . aged carefully by a life of travel and diversity, cautious observation. Naivete proudly dispatched along the way, collected wisdom filling in where ignorance and prejudice once gave direction. OK, did I mention that I think that maybe, with right amount of nudging, possibly, I might try my hand at writing someday? Well obviously, only after much more learning of the craft and piles upon piles of discarded draft. (any resemblance to poetry is coincidental)
BTW - friends say I look and act way younger. lol I'm just saying
I can build you a house too, from the ground up or top to bottom. From side to side or front to back, there is not one aspect of building your(our) dream home that I could not accomplish with fervent passion, undue quality and craftsmanship as yet unseen by normal tradesmen.
OK, yes i'm still writing. sort of. I do mean I can build though. I do it all and proud of it.
Currently, I work in Abilene on an extended construction project as a land acquisition agent buying land for a large transmission line build. I should be located here through September of 2013, however. I could be reassigned at anytime between now and then depending on my company's needs and I never know exactly where they may send me. Since by now you are probably wondering, the answer is yes, I travel . . . a lot. Assignments typically last anywhere from six months to three years. I have a permanent home in Enid, Oklahoma where I was born and raised. Enid has always been my home plate and the town I have consistently returned to when I felt the need. Being the practical and flexible person I am, relocating my permanent residence is always an option and I can go just about anywhere in the US my situation might dictate. Given an unhindered choice, I think I would like to relocate to the Beaumont/Port Arthur area where I could have easier access to the gulf. I truly look forward to having a larger boat and doing some real sailing out on the big water. ****Update **** I have set up a residence in the Crestview area of North Austin and a new band is coming along quite well. Looking forward to playing for all of the great Austin music lovers very soon.
I have not given any kind of description here of what type of woman I am looking for nor will I. If you've read any of these internet dating bios before, then you know that many, many of them are virtually the same. Outgoing, fun loving, Honest. always the same and the qualities I look for basically fit that same basic pattern. I opted instead to sort of "over do it" on describing me and giving you plenty to go on. My theory is that after reading all of this and if by chance you made to this point you would already have a good idea of whether or not we might gel. I should add here that I too have many if not all of the basic qualities commonly found on those myriad other bio's. I am honest, often to a fault. confident, independent, polite and thoughtful. OK, enough of that. It just seams strange to be writing all of these nice things about myself. Someone who knows me really well might write those things without issue but it just seems odd to me.
There is so much more I could say about who I am or what i do. I am no simple man. If you are looking for a go to work, go home, eat, go to sleep kind of guy that has never read beyond the sports page, I'm not the one. I am spontaneous at times and rarely plan ahead. Too many plans often deprive me of the spontaneity and acting in the moment that I love so much. While I believe that a good daily routine can certainly contribute to ones success in life, I tend to temper my routine frequently with new or off the wall activities. I want to make the best of the time I have left and I just don't see how same o same o day in and day out can contribute to that end. Lets just say "I have a decent T-shirt collection" and h
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
This will sound mundane but I believe it's a tried and true plan.
Dinner and Conversation need to be out front. Come on, lets get acquainted and comfortable with each other before we ride off into the sunset. Remember, we're strangers at first. (well, theoretically, we could be soulmates if this e-dating thing is working properly, but I would still prefer to "get acquainted")
Now that we're more familiar with one another, we can plan our escape. Maybe Fredricksburg and shopping or how about an all out vineyard hunt with wine tasting as the trophy.
