I've been on POF a while (much longer than intended or hoped), have added and deleted pics but never got around to rewriting my "description". It was pointed out to me that what I'd written when I signed up sounded arrogant and made me out to be a playa. I agree, it did, but I leave the text below so that you can decide for yourself...and also because these sections require a certain number of letters and I'm not sure what I say about myself will be sufficient.
I'm a writer (business writing, technical writing, web/magazine articles on topics from sustainability issues, sports, politics, science, sex, etc., as well as fiction to redeem my soul for having contributed to the noise of modern communication with all that drivel...) My ideal match would be intelligent, kind, curious, upbeat, sexy in mind and body, not bigoted, and lovely in any order. I'm sure it will be taken as elitist by those who want it to be, but I am not a Trump supporter, though I've met and dated conservative women and we have enjoyed each other and the repartee/fencing, so I guess if you're conservative (like my mom and dad are) without being dogmatic and you don't wear a #MAGA baseball cap (Made in Mexico...) and have a sense of humor, we'd probably click.
Other than that, and since I have a background in sociology in which it is well known that self-reporting is notoriously inaccurate, I'd prefer to save the particulars for face to face when you can judge for yourself about how you'd describe me.
And to the woman who hinted at what a deek my profile made me sound like, I was irritated at first, but on second thought, thank you and good luck.

As with a couple of other sites like this one, I just wanted to look at local users. They trapped me into one of these endless generic questionnaires. If I discover this site is worth while, I'll write more. One caveat: the choices of what you're looking for are not very nuanced, it isn't one thing or the other. I'd like a relationship, yes, but it doesn't mean any date I have is the start of something long and beautiful, it is just a start.
Oh, not to be rude, but I think they must give women a "Hey there! :-)" button to make it look like they took the time to write. I generally don't reply to those.
