I am a professional woman who is funny, outgoing and driven. I believe balance is the key between work, family and personal time. I just dressed up as a pirate for Halloween party and danced the night away to a live band. I just cleaned my own gutters. I enjoy going to sporting events doesn't matter if its college or professional. However I am a social butterfly so sometimes I don't know quite what's going on--if you tell me when to cheer and when to boo I'm on it! I just watched Iron Man and Tombstone for the umpteen time...why cause I love those movies. I love a good tear jerkier too. I believe life is about growing. I stepped out of my comfort zone and joined a writing group. I write poetry but haven't written anything new for awhile---I haven't been inspired. I am a good cook. I like a man who likes to cook with me in the kitchen with good music blasting through the house.
I would like a man who is not afraid of change, his feelings or expressing those feelings--now I'm not talking about how you cried when Musafa died in the Lion King. However, I would like to know when you are stressed from work, aggravated with your child(ren) or haven't quite reconciled your mommy issues---okay maybe not the mommy issues. I would like honest and good communication.
I like confident men but not arrogant ones. I want a man who is spiritual, intelligent and kind. Now when I say spiritual, I do mean God. I want someone who goes to church and understands how that feeds the soul and precipitates growth. You don't have to be there every time the doors open but you do need to go enough to know where Ms. Jenkins favorite seat is at, that their is a new soloist and that Passa Jones died a year ago and his son Passa Jones Jr has taken over.
I would like someone who cares about politics but not obsessed with it. Someone who cares about others and wants to volunteer with me from time to time.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
My first date would be a picnic in the park or an evening with jazz.
