I'm not an overly social person - ordinary guys tend to drink, toot loudly and blather about sports. Women who like that type of guy tend to spend a lot of time discussing nail polish and eat a lot of kale, that sort of stuff.... Most everyone but me seems to absolutely need a cell phone to feel somehow in touch with the outside world....
Me, I'm more into one-on-one companionship, listening to fabulous stories, laughing over the myriad absurdities of life, checking out some hipster eatery (for the food), cruising in the car and even singing songs. I'm not into pop star idolatry, so my musical tastes are pretty varied. I either like a song or don't. Same with everything else. There's a lot of nuance between "loving" or "hating" something or someone, I feel.
There's also a big difference between being/having an "acquaintance", "friend", "partner", "lover", so I don't use or interchange said terms casually.
Cats are okay, dogs are usually tolerable, kids and old peeps are wellsprings of youth and wisdom, respectively (a lot of us who are in-between still trying to grow up, or stay young, or both)
Oh, and I've been called "Sheldon Cooper" by numerous guys over the years; I believe in reference to some show called "The Big Bang Theory". I never really watched it, so I don't know if that's supposed to be a compliment, or what. Of all the pop stars out there, I identify most with Edna Mode from "The Incredibles".
