I returned to the PNW after several years of living abroad – building an international teaching career, traveling and new experiences have been my focus until recently. Throughout these experiences, I have learned that home is where my heart is – surrounded by lifelong friends, my closely-knit family and the landscape that has always captivated me. After much soul-searching, I have returned to build the life that reflects seemingly conflicting components of myself - the need for stability and support (friends, family, restful home) and the need for adventure and exploration (travel, outdoor activities, new friends, new scenes).
There are a million stories I am willing to share and to hear so that we may get to know each other better. This is how I choose the people with whom to surround myself - with storytelling, laughter, and shared moments (large and small). Maybe a little hanging around and BSing too.
My tribe would describe me as loyal, feisty, unpredictable and possessing the wandering spirit of a gypsy (who secretly craves roots from which to grow). And a loose leave tea enthusiast and baker of the best chocolate chip cookies.
Take me dancin' sometime, would you? ;)
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Hey/Hi/Hello and all other forms of brief greetings are not conversation starters. Read my profile, find something that resonates and start a conversation! Comments on my appearance won't pique my interest either - I'm a conversationalist and intrigued by banter!
