God bless you and hello!
May we seek our Lord's guiding and will, and, may we not go through any doors He has not opened for us.
I pray that our Lord will provide a Godly woman for me to care for, cherish, bless, work alongside, pray with, exhort, encourage, grow spiritually, and yes: LOVE!
God's word never returns void! HE is the source of all wisdom. I cannot date a woman with whom I am unequally yoked. There seems to be many "degrees of Christianity" amongst believers. And, there are definitely many different doctrines among us who look to Jesus as our Savior. These degrees and differences can determine the equality of yoking, thus, our potential compatability.
To me, being a Christian means being in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which is more important than anything else in my life.
If I ever lower the emphasis and priority of Jesus in my life, I am in danger of backsliding and bringing those around me down with me.
The closer I am to Jesus, the closer I can be to everyone around me. I do not think that being close to Jesus should scare others. If I am in a deep relationship with Jesus, I should be hearing His voice and will more closely, right? And, wouldn't He want me to love everyone around me, and, love them as He loves His church? =)
The verses between Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 22:21 are very important to me!
Jeremiah 29:11 (isn't this a required verse for these questions?)
Romans 12:10-13 "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality."
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
If we mutually feel that God wants us to meet, would love to meet some place very comfortable for each of us. A public location which will allow us to pray, talk freely, and speak comfortably. It would be nice to walk with my new friend as well.
A casual, nice, relatively quiet restaurant would be pleasant for me.
I would love to attend a Bible study or church service with my new friend as long as it is comfortable for you.
My experience has been that "coffee dates" often do not provide quiet venues for conversation.
I would hope that we exchange messages and phone calls first to determine if there is mutual interest before an initial meeting.
