Elizabethann & Curtis, Married 8/2012
I had been online dating for almost five years. Working multiple P/T jobs didn't really give me much of a social life so online dating was my only real option to meet anyone. I had a profile on two different sites and went on a date with someone from one of them. We had got to talking about which sites we were on and he asked if I was on Plenty of Fish. I said no, I had never heard of it. When I got home that night I logged onto my computer and checked out this Plenty of Fish site, made a profile, posted some pics and went to bed. Two weeks later... I got a message from a guy named Curt. The moment I saw his photo I said to myself, "there is something special here" especially the photo of him and his then 4year old boy. He lived in Staten Island and I lived in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. On our 4th date I met his son. 20 days after we met he changed his status on Facebook to "In a Relationship". 4 months after dating he said "I love you" for the very first time in the middle of a blizzard at the Rockafeller Christmas Tree. 1 year later I moved to an apartment in Staten Island right around the corner from where he lived with his son to be closer to both of them. A year after that, they moved into my apartment with me. The next month, he proposed and 10 months after that we were married. I had prayed to God for years to send me someone that would love me for who I was. That would treat me the way I knew I deserved to be treated. I had even said to Him that it would be great if they would have a child already because even though I love children and have taken care of many my entire life I didn't really know if I had wanted one of my own. God answered ALL of my prayers when I met Curt. Right down to the fact of him being a full time dad, and now.. I'm a full time step-mom. It's been 3 years now and we are a wonderful happy family!! We want to thank Plenty Of Fish for providing a free service for those of us who are really out there looking for someone to possibly share our lives with. Thank you so much!!
