Travis and I met (messaged) after me being on POF for just 2 days! He had been on it for awhile and I explained I was brand new to it. He was very charming and we shared the same hobbies and interests as well as the both of us having kids. 2 Days after that, I gave him my number and it took off from there. We talked everyday all day. I was always so excited when I would hear from him. After a few weeks we decided to meet and decided to tell each other where we worked. We ended up working 1 BLOCK AWAY from each other. I worked at the W Hotel and he worked at a restaurant on the SAME street just 1 block up where I frequented for Happy Hour. It was crazy. We soon began meeting up for coffee after we found out, at Starbucks everyday. Later, he told me he did not even like coffee but bought it anyways and had to fit coffee into his budget. :) After a few month Travis asked me to be his girlfriend on Thanksgiving Day where it was the 1st time of meeting his whole family. It was fun. Travis and I have never spent a day a part since then. 3 1/2 years later we moved in with each other and a few months after that we traveled to Belize for my 30th Birthday and he proposed on the beach! I couldn't be happier! Everyone always asked how we met and at first I was worried about what people would think saying "online". Come to find out it was more common than I thought. I would say now, give it a shot. Especially if you're a busy bee. It was way easier than getting gussied up and hoping 1st date was a success. This way gives you time and to get to know each other first. Our first date was like we knew each other for ever. He cooked for me and made dessert. We talked and talked even though we had spent countless hours doing so before. I could not be happier. I'm so glad I took the leap with online dating (which I had my doubts). It is a little overwhelming at first. There can be creeps, but that can happen anywhere on any site or even out face to face. So happy I found my fish. :)
