INTERESTS: finding someone to communicate with ... someone who "gets" me, who I can relate to ... I've met a lot of younger people since I've been here and it's challenging to relate when they have 1/4 the memories of the world that I have! I'm also interested in checking out what this part of Oregon is all about, having arrived here fall 2016 and shivered through that amazing winter! ... I enjoy experimental cooking, may have perfected an almond butter chocolate chip cookie but need someone to critique my culinary creations!! I also enjoy writing ... eons ago, part of my job as a medical bureaucrat included writing, editing, photographing and laying out a hospital newspaper ... I have enjoyed membership in several writers' groups with delusions of being a writer! ... while I enjoy car and rail travel, I'm more apt to travel by air because it's faster so I can spend more time at my destination! ... I'm now more into "nature strolls" than "hikes" ... was a member of Mountain Ramblers, a hiking, biking, skiing club, broke my arm skiing at Bachelor about 1997 or so ... haven't rambled on any mountain in a while! my mountain bike, snow shoes, other sports equipment are gathering dust in the attic!
I'm drawn to enthusiasm, whimsy, artistic creativity, a sense of humour, laughter, smile wrinkles! I have a weakness for upbeat positive attitudes, curiosity, and an interest in life! noble and romantic gestures are not lost on me - passionate altruistic jousting at windmills is always appealing!

I'd like to explore Oregon ... the eclipse was exciting, met a lot of neighbors ... would like to snoop around and see what I can find around Bend, the Old Mill District ... have seen the Portland zoo, then dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory! toured the Old St. Francis School which is impressive! McKinsey Pass is beautiful, loved that volcanic rock "castle" ... I've enjoyed seeing Crater Lake, Smith Rock, Painted Hills, Tumalo Falls ... I've always wanted to participate in a mystery rail trip! figuring out which plants live and thrive here ... lots of places to go, things yet to do ... would love to have a companion ...
