Ok, maybe not the best opening line, but it should give you somewhat of an idea how much luck I've had with this site. :p
Where to begin... well, my name's Joe. That seems like as a good place to start as any.
I'll try to touch on some of the most important things in my life to give you a sense of who I am.
Fitness: This is a big deal to me for many different reasons. Most of my life, I've been involved in fitness in one form or another. At one point, I was training to become a pro hockey player, although that seems like a lifetime ago now. Exercising is a great self-esteem boost. It helps you set and keep (or break) goals. It teaches you about yourself, your limits. It's a constant learning process. And for me personally, it gives me a sense of control even when everything else in my life may be going haywire at the moment.
Honesty: Ok, with the first one being fitness, this should tell you these are in completely random order heh. Honesty and I guess you could lump trust together with this, are a huge deal to me. I'm a very open person when it comes to how I feel. Not to the point where I'm blunt about it, but I usually am well aware of my feelings and am not afraid or against letting them be known. I don't necessarily expect everyone else to be the same way, but it's very important to me to be able to build a level of trust where you feel comfortable opening up to me. If I'm anything at all, it's being a good listener.
Relationships: I will grant this is a very broad term and saying relationships are important to me doesn't exactly make me unique. But it's that human connection that matters the most to me. Whether it be a friendship or a romantic relationship, I'm much more interested in the who and why than the what and where. I'm also not the kind of person that has a thousand friends that I say hey to once a month. I prefer a much small number of people that are much closer than that.
Now if after reading this, you may be thinking "how could such a great guy still be available??" Ok, maybe not lol. But under my current circumstances, I have very little opportunity to meet people. I work at night (for a newspaper) and am a fairly introverted person on top of that. So I figured I'd give this a shot. Can't hurt right? :)
Anyways, I could keep going but I have to leave something to the imagination, don't I? I'm down for anything though. I'd love to make some new friends as well as find that "special someone." So if I've piqued your curiosity at all, feel free to drop me a note. :)
