Aspirations: Love running my biz. Someday, I will "retire" and teach college courses as an adjunct, travel and promote causes I care about. If I do that as part of a relationship with somebody that shares my values, all the better.
Hobbies: Golf, reading, sports, traveling. If you golf, that would be an amazing first date. Die-hard Cleveland sports fanatic. Who do you think the Browns should draft? Isn't that the equivalent of our superbowl?
Personality. Definitely a bit of an analytical / intellectual streak in me. Even a little sarcasm. But I will also keep you in stitches from time to time. I can read for hours, especially on a Saturday morning, almost always non-fiction. History, economics and business may be my favorite subjects. (yeah, I know...boooring) I think most of life situations have been captured in Seinfeld episodes. Was there ever an online dating episode?
So, they say don't talk politics or religion at parties? I don't suppose that applies to online dating profiles. Might as well get that stuff out of the way...
Politics. I'll be the most liberal person you meet. If you're a Trumpy, probably best to move on from me. :-) I am passionate about causes that I care about, including economics, climate change and education. If you share any of these with me, I would love to talk. I guess you could put the label "human secularist" on me.
Religion. This is an area I find fascinating from an intellectual standpoint. I've studied many religions, but ultimately, I go where the evidence points, meaning I reject them all. I'm happy to have a conversation with you, or the Jehova's or Mormons that knock on my door, but if your goal is to save my soul from eternal damnation, please move on :-) I love reading Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. Closest thing to a religious experience for me might be a Rachmaninov piano concerto. mmm.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Where would you rather go? Vegas or Iceland?
Red or White? Dry or Sweet?
