There are many ways to enjoy life. I know of several, but am always looking for more
I love the outdoors (and have the mountain bike to prove it),
but cherish the diversity and civil nature of the city.
I have camped a lot, but find myself more at B & Bs lately.
I fix my own cars
I am writing a dissertation on 19th century Idealist Philosophy
I volunteer time and donate to charities
I love to dance!
My idea of a fantastic evening often ends with spinning someone I am deeply connected to around a dance floor in a way that makes other couples envious. It could be a waltz, Reggaeton, or top 40 pop. Dancing is a way to express the joy of a connection.
I am an hyper-extrovert with a strong personality
But love to spend days alone with myself and/or partner
Love kids, even though I don’t have any
Love music, even though I play no instrument
Whether a recipe or philosophy, we should learn from each other
Mostly, I am looking for someone who has walked the valleys and mountaintop experiences of life.
I'm healthy and care about the way I look and feel. I don't expect you to be perfect but hopefully you care about the way you look and feel as well. Many speak of how often they go to the gym, exercise and all, but few talk about their emotional health. For me, both are critically important and I strive to be healthy on both counts.
I'm looking for that certain someone. Someone who has her life together in all aspects....BUT....still knows how to get a little mischievous.
I believe that openness and honesty and putting time and effort in is the only way for a relationship to develop into something meaningful.
A recent example of a perfect evening for me...This summer. A group of friends were at a Jazz festival at a local winery. My friend's partner turns to me and says, "Can you please stop for 10 minutes? My face hurts from laughing so much!" When the rest of us realized she wasn't kidding and very serious, we busted up even more. Even she appreciated the beautiful irony of that moment.
Life is what you make it. You make it fun......It will be fun......Lets make it fun....
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Opps, did that sound too clingy?
Let me try that again
Once we meet and decide we would want an extended first date:
How ‘bout we volunteer some time to walk dogs for the humane society. That way we have an entire group of strangers trying to make friends. Even if we don't click, we still have the chance of making a new friend. Besides, joy always comes easier when you try to spread it around.
Then we would share an exquisite meal. The best would be for you to show me a restaurant, cuisine, or entrée that is your favorite and yet I have never tried (the cuisine part is going to be hard-I love them all). Preferably, our table overlooks people walking by so we can challenge one another to pick out who may be the next great contributor to the arts, science or medicine. We also have to guess what that contribution would be.
Then we would go some place and begin an Iphone duel. This is not a competition, but a chance to share with each other the pieces of our experience that makes life worthwhile. It could be photos, movies, or in my case it will always be music!
Then it is your turn to plan the second date!
