The saying is that there's plenty of fish in the sea. But it's been almost 20 years now, and I haven't found another one. I've wondered for a very long time why the mental health industry doesn't recognize the need for physical affection, and I'm not talking about sex. Everyone, from a newborn baby to a senior citizen, to your dog, needs affection. Without that, we just gradually wither away, feeling a loss, but often not ever knowing why.
Basically, I'm looking for a nice, kind, woman. I'm basically a 'leg man', so big boobs not necessary. The Hollies wrote a song about a long, cool woman in a black dress, and that would be perfect. If you're happy with an affectionate friend, I'm o.k. with that too. And you know if you fit that description or not.
For anything long term, I prefer to sleep in a cool room, and I don't move around when I sleep. OTOH, I also sleep just fine in a hammock between two trees on the beach as long as there's a breeze.
I love movies. I don't like movies with sad endings; you have your girlfriends to go to watch those with. I like happy endings. I also like film noir....a lot. I don't like idiot comedy. Dumb and dumber, jackass, drunk and stoner pics are terrible.
I don't like being drunk or intoxicated. I will drink wine or beer if you do, though. My preference is Coca Cola instead of coffee.
Music, I have something playing almost all the time. Anything but rap, really.
People tell me I'm funny. I'm not sure. I can't tell.
I don't smoke. I won't date women that regularly do.
I'll try to be good for you if you'll do the same for me. When two people truly care about each other and want to make each other happy, we find a way to do that. I've been head over heels in love before, and long for that again. Hope you do too.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Join me for dinner, jazz, comedy, music or a movie. If you don't like any of those, you won't like me.
