Compassionate, curious about the world, healthy, happy, hoping to find like-minded friends first. Sometimes I'm oriented around accomplishment, growth or discovery but sometimes I like to do nothing at all. There are a million things I want to do in life, things to try out, yet I need a long time to wake up in the morning, and quiet to myself a few times during the day. I meditate and find much wisdom and support in some Buddhist traditions. I write. I worry. I wonder about things. Green and left politically. Vegetables and yoga life-stylically. I'm planning some good trips this summer.
Reading back over this profile a couple years after it was written, I see I should add that I am something of a workaholic, and during part of the year there are a lot of demands on me. I am working at changing this, but anyone who goes out with me will be happier if he allows for flux in our patterns of seeing each other, rather than a sort of scheduled biweekly visitation, as some have seemed to expect. I also tend to get very wrapped up in political and world affairs, and am fascinated by how the future is rushing towards us with all its surprises.
I love male energy, male voices, maleness but I also like men who are comfortable with their feminine side (whatever that means exactly : -) ). If you are not opposed to intellectual or scholarly preoccupations or even have them yourself, that is good, and I also greatly value the influence on me of artists of all kinds. Being inventive and self-reliant are qualities that attract me, and adventuring explorer natures also do. I understand bookish people the best, and I cannot abide snobs of any kind.
I don't have a picture posted, because I like privacy. If we start a correspondence, I will send you pictures to give you a visual idea of who is behind the words.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
As some people have mentioned in other profiles, a first meeting is not really a 'date'. First meetings should be simple. After that,if we start seeing each other, magic can be created in all kinds of situations. That said, I'm an ocean/beach lover.
