Note on photo: I *do* have one, it's just not public. Feel free to message me if you're interested. (I teach high school, and I am hesitant to have a public photo.)

Greetings, salutations, and hello!
I will ask you to forgive me in advance, because these things can tend to run on a bit. It's my belief that any sort of "online dating" is supposed to make it EASIER to find the right one, so I tend to put as much of myself out there as possible. Too many people write 3 sentences and say, "If you want to know more, let's chat."
I think a good indicator of whether you would tolerate my sense of whimsy is whether you'd be amused by the fact that I attempted to go as an undead version of the Swedish Chef this Halloween. It wasn't perfect, 'cause it was kinda last minute... but it wasn't bad.
I'm 30 I teach high school English (currently 9th grade), I'm 5'7ish (Though I haven't measured myself in over a decade, my driver's license says 5'8, and I have been eating my veggies! So who knows!), I grew up near Cleveland, and I have one tattoo (and intend to get at least one more... possibly more). I think that's most of the super-dooper "basic" stuff that usually comes up in conversation.
Hobbies, interests, etc:
I read a lot. In the summer it can be a book or more in a week. During the school year, I average one-two a month. I also enjoy playing video games. Some people would call me a bit of a geek, and I'm ok with that. Some of the kids in my classes have accused me of being a big kid, but I prefer to think that I get to define myself as an adult. I have fully embraced my inner child. Like everyone else in the world, I like to laugh. (But I'm responsible, tend to show up on time, and pay the bills. I just wanted to be clear... my inner child is more "whimsical" than anything.) In addition to the "geeky" stuff, I go indoor rock climbing 2-3 times a week. (Earth Treks, Columbia, if you're "down" :-p)It helps me stay in shape, and it's fun. I don't mind going out, walking, climbing, kayaking, trying new things, etc., but at the end of the day I tend to be a home body. (Meaning, I like to come home, curl up on the sofa, and watch a movie when I'm done being active.) Also, I cook. (Pulled pork tacos and home made pesto pizza are among my "signature dishes," but I don't mind trying new things.)
It is a long held belief of mine that you should always wear a funny t-shirt. I do this most of the time. If I'm wearing any sort of button down, odds are that I'm wearing a funny t-shirt underneath. I find that this makes me happy. It amuses me that no matter how serious the situation or meeting I'm in, I can secretly think, "I'm wearing a shirt that says 'Cogito Ergo Nom' that has a cat eating a cookie on it" or similar. I'm a believer in celebrating the little things.
I think that's it for the interests. I mean, it's not like there's not a huge box up there where you can find out about my love of pirates, ninjas, and world domination, right? I have a lot of interests, from the normal to the downright silly.
What I'm looking for:
At the end of the day, I'm looking for "the one." Now, I don't expect her to fall out of the sky; I'm willing to keep things casual; I'm happy to meet new people and make friends... just know before proceeding that my goal in being here is to find someone. (Also, if, hypothetically, you WERE to fall from the sky, give a guy a heads up so he can get a helmet or run around frantically trying to catch you.)
Anyhow- I tend to like women who have some common interests with me. I like people that at least have some grasp of sarcasm. A sense of humor is a must. A sense of whimsy would be nice. I wouldn't mind someone that can help in the kitchen. Any sort of geekisms are bonuses, but you don't have to be a geek girl... just understand that I can be a dork sometimes. Or a lot of the time. :-p
What's in it for you:
A lot of people forget this when it comes to profiles. They'll give you a list of what they want (or things they can't stand), but they forget to tell you what's in it for you.
I cook. Some people find this to be a bonus, so I'm putting it out there. Haha.
I'm affectionate, and I enjoy little gestures like holding the door, getting the car door, etc. when they aren't something that's totally expected of me.
I believe myself to be a "good" person.
I know who I am, and I rather like me. This one is kind of important, I think. It prevents me wasting your time (and my time) trying to fit with someone I can't fit with.
I know how to communicate what I want/need/etc. (And I'm honest. My lies tend to be stupid and not work, "I don't know who ate the last cookie! Muahahahahahahaha *breath* Muahahahahahahahaha... ok, it was me.")
I'm willing to try new things, even if they seem out of character for me. Most of the time. Rock climbing is about as "Extreme!1!11" as I get, but I try to keep an open mind with most things
The wrap up:
I think that pretty much does it. If you made it through the whole profile, give yourself a gold star! If you’re still with me after all that, and you think you may be interested, feel free to shoot me a message. Be honest and interesting, and we should hit it off just fine. In fact, I’m throwing down the gauntlet! (Muahahaha!) Go ahead—ask me anything. I’m an open book.
