Hello curious earthling.
I am the one they call Jerilynn.
I'm but a wee nerd on the face of the planet.
And I am a total contradiction to myself...
I tend to be rather strange around people I don't know, unless of course you look vulnerable, in which case I will attack you with hugs and bombasticness. Though I tend to be really shy and clam-up around crowds, I get really extroverted around people that I am comfortable with. I don't mind being different and marching to the beat of my own drum.
I don't expect EVERYONE to understand my quirks, obsessions, and anxieties, but it would be nice to have SOMEONE who does.
Basically, I am looking for someone unique, with whom I can have an honest connection. Chemistry is what's important. I'm looking for someone who isn't afraid to be different or be a free thinker. Also, a bit of sensitivity would be nice. To be able to express thoughts and deep feelings to another who listens and understands is a comforting thing. Blahblahblahblahhhhhhh.
On my smarts: I am working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, emphasis in Enlgish. Literature is my passion.
On my geekery: I have a bad habit of falling in love with people who've been dead a while....such as Oscar Wilde, Freddy Mercury, Mozart, and Alexander the Great...
And I love books and poems more than I love most people....Pride and Prejudice, A Wrinkle In Time, Something Wicked This Way Comes.....Edna St. Vincent Millay, John Keats, Tennyson...
I'm infatuated with Star Wars, X-Men, The Lord of the Rings.......it's sad, really.
As far as music goes, I'm all over the place, but alternative has always been my jive. My Chemical Romance to Madonna. Lady Gaga to Marilyn Manson, Blink 182, Adele, The Cure, Bowie, Coldplay, Eminem, Florence + the Machine, Nightwish, Pink Floyd, Mindless Self Indulgence........it keeps going and going and going and going...
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
As far as a first date goes, I think the traditional "dinner and a movie" is perfect. A really awesome horror movie (not gore! There must be an actual PLOT) or an action film would suit me fine. Just sitting somewhere and talking is nice too. I like to get to know people.
