About Me
I'm a fairly social, busy lady who would love to meet a special guy. In the past, I think I put "other stuff" ahead of dating (job, friends, general selfishness), but now would like to make a real effort to meet a great dude. I will always be incredibly ambitious; I want to be a successful TV writer but I also would love to have a family someday. My friends are also super important to me and I have a lot of them (don't be scared, they are cool). I'd like to think I am relatively funny and have a good sense of humor, but can be serious when the situation calls for it. Just under actual humans on the list of what I love, are movies, TV, and music. I work in the entertainment industry and I am really not big on "Hollywood parties" or nightclubs or anything too "sceney." I go to concerts A LOT (maybe twice a month) and love a small venue like the Troubadour or Bootleg or Echo or just a normal bar with booths and delicious beer. In terms of music...I like almost EVERYTHING, but I really like Southern Rock, Alt Country, Bluegrass, and pretty much anything that incorporates a banjo somewhere (think Ryan Adams, Mumford & Sons, Avett Bros, Tramples by Turtles, Old Crow Medicine Show, EARLY EARLY King of Leon). Going back to movies and TV...this sounds totally pretentious but I love 60's Italian movies (Antonioni's L'Eclisse, L'Aventurra, Blow Up, anything Bertolucci did ever)but also 80's movies like Goonies, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead and for TV, I tend towards tough-guy shows for some reason; Sons of Anarchy, The League, Californication, Friday Night Lights, etc. Okay I like everything. This is now really rambly so I will stop.

Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I actually just enjoy getting a beer at a non-fancy bar or coffee somewhere. I think on a first date, the most important thing to do is talk. A walk is also always good; like a hike up Temescal Ridge (it's not too hard so you can actually BREATHE and say words). A movie or concert on the very first date seems silly to me.
