My name is ((insert sooper seekrit name here--I'll tell you my name if we talk)), and I talk way too fast and sometimes stumble over myself because of it. I'm a dorky intellectual who tends to be passionate and can give you citations for every opinion she holds. I value honesty but am never sure which information is relevant. I'm interested in science and hats and language and writing, but don't like to speak grammatical just 'cause I know how. I am terrified of sharks even though there are some people who tell me I look like one (what the ****?). I'm a big girl and okay with it. I like my crappy bike that always goes to the left. What's to the left?! I'll find out someday. I demand evidence for everything, dammit.
I have a grand old time arguing and am into being shocked and appalled on a regular basis. I think SETI is the best idea since the invention of fire and want my head to be frozen so I can wake up in a thousand years and be disappointed that everyone is wearing silver bodysuits zipped up to the neck. I think I'm always right but love to be proven wrong.
I have 2 1/2 year old who is awesome and probably an evil genius. He runs like a penguin and likes to skateboard and hit things and give people dap. He wants to be Buzz Lightyear when he grows up, which is cool with me so long as he doesn't put me in a nursing spaceship when I'm old. :(
I am ~~taking a break~~ from school, or what other people know as being a college dropout, but if I were in school, or if I will be, or, wait...anyway, I would totally be a history major and get my PHD in that shit, all right? My real Life Goal (you can tell it's important because of the capitals) is to be a writer and smoke long cigarettes in foreign countries. I also am trying to learn how to do magic tricks, which is challenging for someone who stutters and drops shit.
I'm pretty into politics. I read the newspaper everyday (uh, most days) and read blogs and like to talk about what's going on out there. I also think a lot about self improvement and like to make lists and budgets and plans and calendars and to do thingies, and then lose them and forget about them for awhile, and then make the same exact ones over again. Sometimes I actually follow them.

Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Not go to the movies! On a first date, I want to be in an environment where me and first date-ee can really interact with each other and put our personalities out there. Something active enough that the occasional hey-i-don't-know-you silence doesn't get awkward, like karaoke or pool or something.
