Hello out there! Congrats on making it all the way over to my profile page. My name is Tom, and there's so much I'd like to tell you about myself. I have two degrees: A Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Wayne State and an MBA from Walsh College. When I'm not at work, I like to hang out with my friends and have fun. Some folks think I should be doing stand-up comedy because of the amount of ways I can make others laugh. While it is an entertaining idea, I'm pretty happy with my chosen career path. When somebody is in trouble, whether they are close to me or a complete stranger, I always go out of my way to help them. One of my strongest beliefs is to be selfless and not selfish; I've always been a person who has put somebody else's needs before my own. I'm a sweetheart who enjoys to socialize with others and is always looking for new friends. To all those who read this, don't be shy because I'd love to talk to you.
I'm quite into rock music and tend to have a soft spot for the Seattle grunge bands from the 90s. I listen to just about anything that has a good riff to it from punk to alternative and even some metal. If it can keep me pumped during my workout, I'm willing to give it a try. I like to head downtown for concerts every now and again, where I let all my energy out my after a hard week of work.
My taste in movies really just depends on my mood. There's times when I need a good action flick, and then there's instances where I like to laugh the night away with a good comedy. Anything along the lines of action, comedy, romance, sports, or sci-fi will usually appeal to me.
Sports is a huge interest of mine and if I'm not playing them, I like to sit back and watch the games with my friends. I tend to stay active at the gym and like to play recreational sports in my spare time. I'm a bit of a sports book of knowledge when it comes to remembering stats and scores in all the major sports, which comes in handy when I'm writing articles. Sports also brings out my competitive side and as any of my friends will tell you, I don't like to lose.
Unlike some folks on here, I don't rely on outrageous gimmicks or crazy, convoluted mishmash to make myself stand out in a crowd. I just rely on my confidence and willingness to engage with others.
I've been asked numerous times what my religious beliefs are and it's pretty simple. Yes, I am Christian. No, I am not perfect. For the most part, it doesn't matter what your background, ethnicity, social status, etc. is with me. I welcome people from all walks of life and believe that we all have a story to share.
What I'm looking for is a woman that can offer more than just her looks. Sure, physical beauty plays a big part in the dating game, but if you don't have any goals, desires, or brains, you won't go very far with me. I'd like to find a lady who has an open mind, enjoys life and will be there for me no matter what the situation is. If you believe that you have something strong to offer, then feel free to send me a friendly message.
I shall close by saying that for all you ladies reading this, if you want to know what it's like to date a gentleman, then go ahead and hit me up already! Who knows, I just might spoil you ;)
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I like to think of a first date as a proper introduction to one another. Usually I prefer something low-key, but it has to be fun because that what helps land a second date. My idea set-up would be dinner and a walk in the park. Or maybe a picnic and gazing up at the stars just like in the movies. I'm pretty easy to please to be honest, but there must be a good conversation to keep things interesting. Any sort of setting with people, music and dancing is a definite plus!
