I'm overly honest (not a good liar), sassy at times (extremely sarcastic), too smart for my own good, and extremely open-minded. Usually I'm shy up front until someone gets me going on a subject I enjoy, which there are plenty of, and then I might talk too much. It's okay to tell me to stop, but usually it's entertaining as I'm fairly educated and worldly. I also enjoy listening to other people's issues, and helping find solutions when needed.
I'm an ENFP (Extroverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceiving) on the briggs-meyer personality scale, though being extroverted only applies half the time and was within 5% of 50%. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google is your friend. I'll happily explain myself, but I'd rather not explain in long detail to more than a couple of people.
EDM (electronic dance music) is on top of my playlist, and I love to dance to it (Melbourne Shuffle mostly). Next is rock and metal in most flavors, then pop, then rap. I also enjoy classical music, but I rarely play it in favor of EDM. In fact, I often look for remixes of old songs, cause listening to the same thing over and over gets boring.
I spent 5 1/2 years in Army Intelligence, and learned alot about psychology, politics, and beauracracy. This left me with a lot of technical writing experience, which I perfer using more for creative writing now. I recognized my growing unhappiness and left, but they kept my college fund, even after a tour in Iraq. Eventually, hopefully sooner than later, I'll find a way to get a degree in psychology, because I'd love to be legally able to help people with their problems instead of just friends in need of advice, which I do thuroughly enjoy giving.
My experiences have taught me we are all a cycle of habits and habits are hard to create, and even harder to break. One of my habits is collecting and repeating information, which funny enough only tend to appear in my mind when it seem useful or entertaining. Unfortunately alot of the things I've learned work like that, like flipping a switch when you need a light.
The idea that I can live simple and still be happy seems so far off in modern days, but I do enjoy the idea of quiet meditation anywhere beautiful, and of course travelling to such places. I enjoy contemplating facets of life such as death and beyond. My belief system is rooted in science, and any good scientist knows anything is possible but a lot of things are improbable. I like thinking of both, but am pretty skeptical of anything without hard math or repeatable evidence. In short, I am spiritual but I follow no religious doctrines, though I appreciate the dao. For within each of us is the energy of the universe by which we are all teathered. Through this energy what appears impossible may become possible, like a prayer. It's the foundations for miracles, and maybe even god, though a religious person may argue it's the other way around. I do believe ghost can exist, and angels and demons are probably just extra dimensional but no better than you or me except perhaps morally. I respect everyone's beliefs, but I only believe my own, and I expect that same respect.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I'm down for anything, as long as its with company (maybe you?). Bonus points for uniqueness. I can be such a flirt when I really like someone but I like being flirted with more.
