I believe that each day is a new beginning, with exciting new experiences, opportunities for learning, growth and enjoyment. We have dreams for a reason, and have a choice whether to pursue them actively or sit back and watch the world pass us by. I choose life.....I live passionately, enjoying every moment,or learning from it,reaching for my dreams, and seeking to touch them. I love challenges, and work diligently and tirelessly to achieve my goals. I view starting over in mid-life as a whole world full of new opportunities opening up to me. And the possibilities are endless............I am seeking new friends with whom to explore life, both for now and for the rest of my life.
If you are an intelligent, professional man, passionate about your career yet not married to it (ie. you occasionally allow some time for recreation),
If you have a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor,
If you enjoy conversation about a variety of topics, and an occasional evening of fine dining or music, or even a stroll in the park, I would like to meet you.
I am especially interested in meeting writers, whether in person or via email, as I have discovered quite recently that I have some degree of writing talent, and have a passionate interest in pursuing my writing wherever it takes me.
I am a positive person; energetic, affectionate, and with a sense of humor. I am comfortable with who I am, although that is redefined on a daily basis, of course. Change is a lifelong process. We either become greater or less with the tides of change of each passing day, and I'm going for "a little better" each day. I am somewhat shy at first, but warm up quickly when given an opportunity. I am fiercely devoted to those I love, and would do anything for my close friends.
My current passions are developing my writing skills, and transforming my body from the “average” category, back to the “athletic” category. The first is a heretofore untravelled path for me. As for the second....I am missing the athletic "me",and am going for it again. Neither one will happen overnight. Both are well worth pursuing.
As for the future, of course I want to someday meet my soul mate, as does everyone. But that is not someone you can seek out through an online dating service. Your soulmate is one who will appear when you least expect it, and when you are not looking.
For today I seek a fellow explorer to accompany me along the path of adventure which life entails.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I am quite articulate in emails, but am more reserved in person with new acquaintances. So I need to talk on the phone until it get past the initial barriers. Then, if we find that we click, perhaps coffee or dinner in a public place, to give us a chance to talk, followed by a walk outside if the weather is good. But that is negotiable. I am open to whatever you like to do. Just let me know.
