Hello. I like to go to the beach when the water's warm enough for a good long swim without a wetsuit. Not really what I'd classify as a hobby, because I haven't been for a swim since March, but the idea is to place some visually persuasive image of a toned bronzed hunky dreamboat in the mind of the reader.
I take around 10,000 photos per annum, most of them not worth photoshopping, collect cigarette lighters (orange/empty) and Linux distrobutions (mostly Debian/Ubuntu but willing to relocate to Fedora/RedHat for the right lady) , spend more time on web forums or watching the ABC News 24 channel than I do sleeping, and often get pedantic about proper English usage with particular attention to the abuse of conjunctions. But grammar police excommunicated me for verbosity.
I'm not sure what the difference between goals and aspirations is, aspire to goals like chatting on Skype or maybe trading emails, making friends and maybe someone special, but you can't have too many friends.
I don't consider myself unique, but just a bit of a rarity in my own mind, and feel most secure listening to music I grew up with, although I'm comfortable enough with my old age to admit that I do sometimes listen to country music when i am alone.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I'm too old for 'dating'. If I know someone and enjoy their company, their friendship, and I know that there are places they like to go and things they like to do, then I'll go along where they go. Sometimes I can invite a friend along when I do things I like to do too. No need to get all 'Richie Cunningham' about it Markus, and yes I am aware that this is a 'dating' site, but I've made friends on news websites too, and never even wrote an article.
