About Kipling
This is a most interesting site. Careful of all the carp out there (or its anagram)!

If its summer or the weather is decent (May/Sept), you can catch me most Saturdays (8:15m - 2:??) @ Montrose Beach playing twos (volleyball). It's a great atmosphere to meet and greet people from all walks of life, ages and ethnicities against a backdrop of the most beautiful city in the world. Great just to hang out without playing and discuss things trivial to matters of great importance. And then there's the Botanic Garden or a Ravinia venue? It's a great place to get to know other people against a great ambiance of villagers of all walks & talks not to mention good food, wine and music.

About me? I'm your connection to the next adventure; I could be the on at the fork in your road, the "T", the place where you have a choice to turn left or right, the surprise after the lighting bolt; and likely not THE person you're looking for.

Ah, such is life.

If you've figured out why you are here, have direction and purpose in life, a few targets you're aiming at, and are looking for a person who'll challenge you to be a better person, then we have a few things in common. And if exercise, prayer, invaluable friends, being close to family, helping others less blessed than you, knowing "It's All About The Journey" (not the destination), are keys to your life, do write.

I may be the compass; the catalyst; the one who'll spur you on to greater things.

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
Zig Ziglar

“It's funny how, in this journey of life, even though we may begin at different times and places, our paths cross with others so that we may share our love, compassion, observations, and hope. This is a design of God that I appreciate and cherish.”
? Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

Two reflections for you.

First the ancient one:

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.-

from The Dark, Blue Sea - Lord Byron

And now the contemporary:

"Swing Life Away"

Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?

I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand

I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move
The winter's so cold, summer's over too soon
Let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow

I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand....until you hold my hand

I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words

We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand

Swing life away [x4]

First Date
Ravinia during its season is the best venue possible in all of Chicagoland. And another would be interesting in a volunteer situation helping out a worthy cause.

Remember, there is Joy in the Journey. If you lost it, it can be found. If you've never found it, find someone who has.

How about a taking a note (walk) inspired by Lord Byron?

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore...
