Taking another stab at it here on p.o.f., not sure what kind of bites I'll get or even if I'll land what I'm fishing for, but as they say "nothing ventured, nothing gained"...
I'm seeking a connection where first we meet, as in a real date, get to know each another enough to determine if there's a spark (could take an instant, could take two or three dates), and, if there is that elusive wonderful hot-bubbling-over kind of chemistry, then well, we progress to see what might happen!
I'm eager to have a go-to guy to get together with for special events (49ers & Giants games, concerts, weekend getaways, winemaker dinners, movie-watching or video-game marathons, etc.) and romantic nights in, but, I'm just not ready to commit to more than one to two times a week. Sure, you might be the one to win me over and be able to break me of that defense and this could turn into a comfortable connection, but I just don't want there to be that expectation from the beginning.
Ideally, you are: 39 - 56, good health/looks/shape (same as me), live somewhere between Novato and Cloverdale (or, Sonoma and Sebastopol to the east and west) and aren't married or otherwise seeing anyone else regularly.
As for me, I'm a happy but somewhat reserved on the outside brunette (shoulder-length) with both modern and old-fashioned sensibilities, who has a hedonistic inside that gets awoken when I find someone who's as attracted to me as I to him.
So if my description here resonates with you and you think you might be the one to 'wake me up', then please send a message and let me know about you!
Bonus points for any of these: cool sideburns, not excessively hairy, a good cook, spiritual
Let the nibbles commence!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Meet for a potent potable (cocktail was not allowed!) or glass of wine, or a casual dinner somewhere where we can have a good chat. Or, how about a game of checkers or backgammon, I have a travel set! I also am eager to find a hiking or running partner, as I'm not as motivated to do either, alone. ;-)
