UPDATE: Since I teach competitive skiing on weekends I would like to find a partner to go day or night skiing. I realize I am more looking for an activity partner right now and enjoy the company for a breath of fresh air. Disregard the rest for now... After spending a few months in here and reading many profiles I realize that most list what they want through a detailed list of criteria. I find this approach somewhat subjective as we have no baseline reference from which to grade the intensity of the qualities we are seeking. One example is humor most women want someone with a sense of humor how do one find the balance between the intensity, the tasteful aspect and the appropriate time to be playful. To be impacful if we could add the context of when and how we value these qualities the receiving party could better evaluate his capacity to meet that criteria. This distinction is important because it's all about the perception we feel we have to meet in order to make a connection. The basics is that we need to establish a common ground from chemistry to our style of living. How we live will define how we define our interests. I need to be active therefore I seek a relationship based on someone open to exploring some facets of their activity repertoire to have or build that connection. Since I have decided to resonate with what I am, I will simplify my description in saying that communication is what I value, we need to be exchanging with each other to nurture the good and facilitate the misunderstanding, I also like when my significant other can be both exuberant or at peace (relaxed) in front of a glass of wine, listening to a great tune or feeling a precious moment and then looking at me and we don't have to say anything... When it comes to my moments of bliss, I get some when i'm on the road traveling and feeling free to explore, savoring the time, reflecting on personal issues, or simply being in the moment. I can be both intense and passionate about issues I strongly believe in, but I have learned that to be an effective communicator, you have to really try to capture the opinion of others through committed listening and once the respect and empathy has been established, you can create the desired impact with your own reasoning.
