I have had a very successful career in education in only a few short years. I have taught history and other social studies classes to every grade from 6th through 12th, from Raleigh to Winston-Salem. I loved teaching. I loved telling stories about the way things were, and helping children find excitement in success. I turned from teaching into administration. My goal is to become superintendent, or go even higher. While I am humble, I do have lofty goals, a drive, and dedication to work hard and achieve whatever I set my mind to.
I was born in Kitty Hawk on the beach of North Carolina, so I am most comfortable somewhere with sand, sun, and water, but I also love climbing mountains and hiking through forest trails. I started doing the whole Baywatch thing when I was in college, and I still go back in the summers to get a little time on a lifeguard stand. I love to stay active, stay fit, and get some time in the sun.
I love music of all kinds, but my family has a special place in their hearts for bluegrass music. We all play one instrument or another. I play the banjo, but don't worry, it really only comes out when my family gets together. I'm pretty good, but usually a little out of practice.
My father was raised Catholic, and my mom was raised Mormon. Apparently when you put them together, that makes me a Methodist. :) I love my church. They have always been supportive of me.
As for my match, I am looking for someone who loves to have fun, is intelligent, and has great ambitions. I need someone who enjoys going out and exploring new places, doing exciting new things, and who wants to travel with me to the ends of the Earth. But there are other times, at the end of a long day, when you just want to cuddle up and watch a nice movie. I am a hopeless romantic, and love to get creative around special occasions. Ultimately I am Interested in building trust through a relationship that will stand the test of time.
