About Me
Recently divorced after 26 yrs
I am an INTJ personality. I like to discuss things on almost any topic and am pretty open minded but generally conservative. I feel that people should be allowed to do what they want as long as it does not affect other people adversely.
I have a good job that I derive much enjoyment from and telecommute with an electronics company in CA and some consulting. I also like to help others primarily by teaching but currently not active in this area. I would like to go back to school and complete my PhD and become a prof as a semi-retirement job. Lower stress, more free time. I typically travel a few days/mo roughly split evenly between N America, Europe, and Asia.
I have many interests outside of work (too many interests but not enough time. Maybe someone special will help with the selection/prioritization process).
Typical engineer in that I am a bit shy, very analytical, like smaller groups. I tend to have fewer friends but those that I call that are very dear to me. Tend to be direct, unconventional, sarcastic, spontaneous, giving, smart, hardworking are a few adjectives.
Currently separated in the process of divorce so I am not looking for a deep commitment at the present but would love to find some new friendships. I would want to find a new life first to better understand myself and where I need to go. I see this as very important before getting too serious with another person. Starting over with more experience this time. Looking for the whole package. Someone that is basically complete but would like a friend/companion/partner/lover.
I like most music except for rap and some other categories that do not qualify IMHO as music.
YOU: These are only thoughts/guidelines. The whole person matters much more than any individual trait.
Women and men can nicely complement each other IMHO but it does not always work. Probably should have a similar personality but different enough to keep it interesting. Generally tall, HWP to curvy/few extra with a nice smile/eyes, low drama, a little younger to my age, degreed, good communicator, intelligent.
Ladies first it would be nice to see a bit about you. Empty profiles do not do much to aid the choosing. I and other may pass you by if we don't like what we read but nothing almost assures that unless you are willing to accept anything that comes your way.

First Date
Initially coffee or drinks initially where we can talk without many distractions. Possibly better would be a picnic at a park or lake with some good food and wine. It really isn't the where but the who that makes the difference.
Looking for friends to talk to and explore our mutual interests and seek some enjoyment in life together. Maybe these friendships can grow into something more.
