I love to be outside. Anything from hiking to biking to camping make me happy. I'm an avid cyclist and runner and I want to be with someone who not only enjoys being outdoors but takes care of him or herself. Two summers ago I went to Hilton Head Island; I signed up to wear a water powered jetpack and fly. I've gone indoor skydiving twice. There's something about being up in the air that if I get the chance to experience I can't walk away from.
I have a super cool son. He's just a toddler, but I don't have any of the baggage that typically comes with being a single parent. He makes me laugh a lot, and I'm enjoying both watching him learn how to do everything and introducing him to things I love to do. Obviously, I'm looking for someone who wants kids, but I'm in no rush to combine my 'dating world' with my 'mom world'. If things get to a certain point in a relationship then yes, I want to have that person hang out with my son and I. Until then, though, I just want dating to be a way for us to relax and get to know each other while having fun.
I'm looking for somebody who's a grown up. I need to know the person I'm with can stand on their own two feet and be an adult. I never was into the party scene and now I'm even more mellow. I really enjoy going for walks, watching movies, and cooking together.
I have a sarcastic, inappropriate, witty sense of humor, and I'm looking for someone who doesn't take life too seriously either. I teach elementary school and education is important to me. I want to be with someone who has a career they're passionate about and who also values education.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Maybe ice cream, coffee, anything short and sweet just to test the water. After that hiking, dinner, exploring places, or whatever else might suit our fancy.
