So here goes nothing
My name is Ben, I'm a pretty busy person these days, and I'm pretty tired of the bar scene (though I don't mind catching a game and a few drinks from time to time) as a means of trying to find someone I'm compatible with, so here I am.
I work for the state, which sometimes means odd or shifting hours at work, but its a decent gig with a good future. I usually spend most of my free time doing something outdoors if possible, hitting the gym, or catching up on my reading. I'm a pretty avid hiker/fisherman, so if you don't enjoy the outdoors, we're probably not going to mesh well. I'm a bit of an old fashioned country boy (not a redneck), and though I clean up pretty well, I'm more of the jeans and t-shirt type of guy. I believe in treating others with the respect they deserve, having good manners, and working hard for the things that mean something in life.
What I'm looking for:
Someone who is intelligent, open minded, mature, and generally over the whole going out every weekend partying phase of their life.
Someone who is, at least eventually, open to the possibility of a serious and committed relationship.
Someone who doesn't take everything in life too seriously. I can't tell you how many people I know that just can't let their guard down and be silly anymore. I'm generally a pretty level headed person, but I'm certainly not afraid to cut loose from time to time. A sense of humor is a must.
Anyways, I could write a book here and tell you everything I can think of about myself, but then we'd have nothing to talk about, so please, feel free to ask me anything, I'm an open book.
One more thing, if i viewed you, and didn't message you, it often means I wasn't online here long enough to drop you a line, so if you like what you see above, and think I might be worth a shot, feel free to drop me a line.
Lastly, the pictures I have posted here are a bit dated ( this is an old profile that I haven't updated for quite a while until now), so I'll be updating them soon. In the meantime, no, I haven't gained 200lbs and grown a mullet, and though I look a bit different, these are close enough to get the idea.
I'm not really a huge fan of the whole cliche' dinner and a movie bit. I'd rather do something active, maybe a walk (though I doubt that would be such a good idea in the middle of the winter), maybe grab a drink somewhere, catch a live band, go fishing, or something of that nature. I suppose it really depends on who I'd be going with.
