Four years later I complemented my son the other day and he wrote me this ! Wow. That means a lot to me. I know we've had our ups and our downs, and even when I was really mad at, just know I never, not for one minute, stopped loving you. You're an amazing father. You haven't had it easy. But you haven't given up either.
You're not a quitter. You're a survivor. Even when sh*thappens, you just get back up and keep going.
You fed, sheltered and took care of me. You put me through 13 years of school. Not including Jenn Dillon and Emily. You have a lot to be proud of. You did more for your kids than your parent and your grandparents did for you. You gave a good example, when when you didn't get one yourself.:) Kids are all gone off to college and just kinda enjoying the peace ? And looking for a happy fun filled Partner/soul mate, I small step at a time lol
Someone to cook with splash in the water and catch some fish,s, Drives to new places, I love family and socializing with friends .like working half the time lol not yet ready for retirement by no means I,m in great shape and love to move around l Loves to cuddle and nap too lol
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
