I'm a fairly active person, especially when it comes to doing things with my two kids. That doesn't mean I'm climbing mountains every weekend. I like nothing more than to kick back with my friends and/or family and have a few beers next to the BBQ.
I'm going to put my BIG CONTROVERSIAL statement right here, in the second paragraph. I don't like napping. Make no mistake, I can be lazy with the best of them, but I don't like to spend my down time sleeping. Waking up from sleeping sucks, and I already have to do that almost every day. Why would you want to wake up from sleeping AGAIN? It's very confusing to have to remind myself that no, it's not the morning, you just took a nap.
I coach my daughter's softball team in the Spring and her basketball team in the fall and winter. I love teaching the younger kids how to enjoy sports that I hope they will play the rest of their lives. They've taught me how to be patient :).
When my calendar allows, I love to go for a run. Not so much for the exercise, but because it's an excellent way to enjoy the great climate we have in the Tri-Cities.
I'll read and watch almost anything. Except I don't like zombies. No zombie books, no zombie movies, no zombie video games. NO ZOMBIES. For food, I love anything spicy or anything with cheese and sour cream. Healthy, I know. In fact, I'll try any food once or twice.
It's most important to be able to talk in an environment that is conducive to it. If we are yelling "WHAT???" to each other, then it's too loud. I don't care if it's the best Lady Gaga song that everybody likes, I'd rather focus on actually hearing what my date has to say. That being said, that's why I like a baseball game, a short walk or hike, or even meeting at a coffee shop. The big fun activity dates will follow after we've already had a chance to get to know each other a bit.
