One of my favorite books is Victor Frankel's Man's Search For Meaning. It's the story of how Dr. Frankel survived through the Holocaust. In it there's a passage of how even suffering through one of the worst atrocities of human history, those who survived made the effort to entertain through poetry, song, a sense of humor and to hang on long enough to perhaps see their families again one day. Through this story I've realized that happiness is not an end goal, not a finish line or a neat ending of a movie. Happiness is the little moments we make for ourselves, our friends and to those we love. The world can be a cruel place but it takes lovely efforts to make it a beautiful one. Happiness is a choice. Happiness is also being open to fully enjoy these experiences and without worry of what may happen tomorrow. I live life one day at time.
I work in the television industry for a cable network in Culver City. My job title is Preditor. It's not as vicious as it sounds! I edit, produce, coordinate, trouble shoot, organize data, problem solve, put out fires, save kittens - basically whatever my superiors throw at me, I find a solution for. I carry a great deal of responsibility and I make everyone else's job easier by being around. This is a position I have earned and am very proud of. I've always wanted to work in TV since I was 11 years old when I would see "Wild Chicago" on PBS. That show showcased the secret parts of that city (where I'm from!) and it was my friday night ritual for many years. Now, I have worked my way up to where I am producing segments that are just like that show! My 11 year old self would be super pumped! I also produce a lot of comedy content on youtube with my brother. I aim to be an Executive Producer for a show on Comedy Central, HBO or IFC one day. I think I can do a really good job!
Comedy is a very important tool in my life. It has evolved from a survival mechanism into something where I can actually make a decent living. I'll laugh at almost anything. Life sometimes is a thing to be laughed at. For all of us to get through the tough moments in life we need to laugh a little (I just like to laugh a lot).
Who am I looking for? I need someone who has that spark and I am willing to find it. I would fall in love with anyone who is strong willed, ambitious, highly educated and who doesn't have a problem challenging me. I like to be challenged because I know I can triumph. I also believe that relationships is not just rainbows and butterflies. It's about solving problems together like adults. Obviously attraction is also a big factor and that is why I am doing the best I can to upkeep my own appearance. I eat healthy meals, invest in good clothes and exercise regularly at the gym near work. I want you to believe that you landed someone truly special. I've put a lot of work in! Understanding my sense of humor is also a big plus! I can be very silly at times.
I have worked very hard to be where I am in my life and I am happy where I am. I want someone who can share the journey. Someone who wants to create happy moments with me. Someone who wants to solve life's problems with me and someone who can laugh at the silliness of it all.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
There's nothing more I want to do than to take a lady out for an excellent dinner and talk about fun stuff!
