About Kathy
I live on the Eastern Shore of MD, but work in Rockville and stay in town most weekdays. I enjoy good humor and positive attitudes. My favorite sound is giggling, especially the giggles of children. Someday I plan to spoil the living daylights out of grandbabies and get my fill of giggles, but no grandbabies on the horizon. Of course I love things like moonlight strolls on the beach, spending time with my friends and all the other things I keep reading about (who doesn't for pete's sake). What I'm really looking for is a best friend with a good heart who makes me laugh and enjoys my irreverant sense of humor. He must also treat me and others with respect. I have 3 children (23, 25, 27), 1 cat, 1 dog, 1 rooster, a multitude of chickens (but if the rooster doesn't stop waking me at stupid:30 I'll be looking for rooster recipes).
I'd love to have a best bud to hang out with and share good times and friendship. Live theater and night life are nice, but what I really enjoy are the simple joys in life like a sunrise, the taste of fresh berries, a lingering kiss, getting up at 4 am to lay in the yard and watch meteor showers, and passion, passion for life, passion for doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do, and passion for each other. Life is too short to lack passion. My ideal mate will be mature, articulate and respectful. He will make me laugh, let me vent and hold me when I cry without trying to fix anything (ok you can fix plumbing and change oil on cars, but that's not what I mean). I love spending time with kids (mine or others) and having a good belly laugh. If you are willing to get up on a cold night at 4am to cuddle under a blanket to watch a meteor shower and drink hot chocolate, all the better.

Coffee, wine, whatever - somewhere safe for both of us, where either can graciously excuse themselves after 30 minutes or we can suddenly realize we've been talking for 3 hours and need to tip the waitress really well for that cup of coffee.
