A little bit about me huh?
My family and friends come first in my life. I don't need to distinguish between the two because I consider my friends family anyway. I was very fortunate to have met some amazing people in my life and have developed some truly great friendships I value tremendously.
I was taught at a young age that a man should always open a door for a woman. I find it completely disrespectful to watch a man and woman walk to a car in the rain only to see the man unlock his door and climb in to open hers from the inside, leaving her standing in the rain. I do not walk with my head down in an attempt to avoid eye contact with strangers and always hold the door open for the stranger behind me. I do not believe chivalry is dead.
I have an amazing job and love going to work. Most people say it is the best part time job in the world. Each day I am able to help others in need and hope at the end of my career I have touched the lives of all those I can. Although it requires me to be away from home a few nights a week, I am blessed with a lot of time off. I wouldn't ask to be doing anything else.
I enjoy a good glass of wine, a cold beer now and again, but usually drink whiskey on the rocks not because it is cool but because I enjoy it.
I believe respect is something that is always given but trust is earned. Second chances are important but draw the line with some issues. I have a lot of patience for most things because people make mistakes and no one is perfect, but have no tolerance for infidelity.
I work out just about everyday, partly because it clears my mind and partly because the people I work for rely on me to, golf as much as I can, and remodel my house or lounge around with my dog in my little down time. She sleeps in bed with me, has some serious gas and snoring issues, but wouldn't want it any other way. She has been my best friend since the day I brought her home and not a day goes by where she doesn't make me smile. Any woman I meet must be willing to share the bed with the other woman in my life.
I will end this with my faith. I am a Christian. It does not mean I am a saint, I do sin. I don't claim to be perfect, I have my faults. I do believe in God and even though I do not attend church every Sunday, it doesn't mean the relationship I have with Christ is less meaningful or valuable to me.
