I cherish the simple things in life, good food, good wine, good music, good friends, intellectual conversation, and passionate kisses. I lived in Europe for 5 years and my whole outlook on life changed. I learned to slow down and appreciate who and what is around me. On the flip side, I am also very spontaneous and adventurous; there is nothing I won’t try at least once… I am open minded and carefree; but also very dedicated, driven, and focused. I don’t take anything for granted, I live today as if tomorrow never exists. I enjoy music, movies, art, theater, cars, outdoor activities, volunteer work, sports (playing and watching), candlelight dinners, full moon walks on the beach. An educated world traveler, an adventurous, romantic, and caring person. I believe romance begins way before the bedroom; I enjoy everything from cuddling on the couch watching a movie to bungee jumping off a bridge!
I was born and raised in Philly, joined the Navy when I was 18. I have traveled all over the world and lived in Spain (5 years), Jacksonville (10 years), and Brunswick for a couple of years and now live in Savannah since 2010. I am a retired military officer currently spending my time volunteering at the Savannah Humane society and working for a condo vacation rental company, I was married 14 years and have a beautiful 18 year old daughter. My daughter lives in Orlando with her Mom and is attending Florida State University.
I am a hopeless romantic...I still believe in the courting process, chivalry, respect and manners. I am a little shy at first but warm up very quickly and usually end up being the life of the party. But when needed, I can be reserved and quiet...that doesn't mean boring! There is a time and place for everything... Everything is beautiful if it is with the right person.
I am a jack of all trades and a master of some! I owned a house for 7 years, I can do home improvements, landscape, etc. I am a wicked cook especially Italian or Spanish dishes. I love to entertain. I love technology; I have even built my own computer. There is not much I can't do and if I can't I will learn how...it's that simple!
I Love all types of music especially the 80's, Motown, R&B, Trance/Techno, Ambient/Chillout, but don't like Country. Love going to concerts, theater, symphony, sporting events! My most recent concerts have been Billy Joel & Elton John, AC/DC, Train & Maroon 5, Robin Williams. I am very adventurous and like to try different cuisines. I don't watch much TV but I am a movie buff, so of course I enjoy going to the movies or watching them at home. I love animals especially dogs and I volunteer at the Savannah Humane Society as often as i can. I enjoy meeting and talking to people especially senior citizens, they have amazing stories and life lessons!.
Since I am a retired Naval Officer, I was fortunate to travel the world. I lived in Spain for 5 years, traveled all over Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and one of my favorites Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Cabo was absolutely amazing, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, the people, the culture, the weather, beaches were incredible! My next adventure is to walk the Camino de Santiago (from the movie "The Way" starring Emilio Estevez and Martin Sheen) or at least a good portion of it, 150 miles! I also want to travel and see the U. S. west of the Mississippi, take an Alaskan cruise and South America.
So what am I looking for in my partner? I don't have a concrete specific list; I think everyone brings their own special qualities, everyone is unique...but I am looking for a woman who is confident, intelligent, takes care of her body and mind, has a great personality and beautiful smile, a woman who loves life and lives life to the fullest. I want to have butterflies when I hear that special someone’s voice or see them after a long absence. I want our eyes to connect from across the room without speaking a single word and now that is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
KISS (Keep It Simple Silly) I feel a first date should be about face time and getting to know each other a little better, not about where and what you are doing, those things will mean more as the relationship progresses. A first date would be a coffee shop, playing pool or having a martini or two at Jazz'd, talking, laughing, eye contact, and maybe deciding on a second date. Second date...jet skiing, haunted ghost tour, dolphin boat tour, para-sailing or something else exciting to remind us we are alive!
