About Me
what does one write, when they're in the process of reinventing the world?
I recently moved back to Edmonton after spending 3 years in Quebec/Ontario. So I'm taking an active approach at rediscovering the wonder that is this city/province, and an active approach to getting myself in shape and healthy. It's a process. or a journey. or something equally as inspiring right? ha.
really, at the end of the day, I'm in a constant state of mind for improvement, whether it be of myself, or my surroundings, or the whole world. I'm just trying to make a difference.
there's a whole bombardment of things that I love. like..
Music - Tori Amos, Fleetwood Mac, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mother Mother, Of Monsters and Men, and Mumford and Sons are all on heavy rotation on my music playing apparatus
Art - Dali's my guy
Books - anything with pages and words, I'll read. favorite author(s) - Chuck Palahniuk/Ayn Rand/George Orwell
Tattoos - I have many
Hockey - Oilers! (but I sometimes secretly cheer for Toronto)
and random stuff. like - sushi, tea, laughter, random sexual innuendo at awkward times, cooking for my friends, playing poker, geocaching, taking a snow day in the middle of summer, discovering new things that I enjoy, like white wine or quinoa salad. I love random road trips in the middle of the night, or the middle of the day. I just love to drive.
I love intellect and humor and the way intensity can knot your stomach.
I appreciate the little things because they add up to be the big things.
I'm a great conversationalist with many a hilarious story and terrible jokes to tell. I'm a self proclaimed writer, with many a blog/story/poem and even a few novels under my belt.
I've dabbled in many careers, and have settled for now on running a pet store so I can cuddle puppies and educated the masses on knowing what is and isn't good for our furrends. I feel some small amount of shame for using the term furrends. eh.
I'm here looking for a connection. albeit friendship or otherwise. I'm looking to share my time with someone who values life for what it is. because if there's anything that I've learned in the last little while, it's that life doesn't have a pause button, and you have to go for it at any cost.
