I am originally from Houston, Texas and moved out to Los Angeles after graduate school to pursue a career in media production. My long-term goals are to either work in production or go back and get a doctorate to teach at the university level.
I LOVE movies of all types but specifically dry, well-written comedies and dramas that focus on the human condition. Since I graduated from Baylor University with my bachelor's, I am a die-hard fan of all Baylor sports. And, naturally, being that I am from Houston, I am a HUGE Rockets, Astros, and Texans fan. I am also a big pop-culture junkie who enjoys discussing all aspects of pop-culture as well as quote movies and TV shows at random.
I have a very dry sense of humor that some would call sarcastic but I would more aptly describe as facetious. I tend to find humor in the most awkward of situations. When I'm bored or feel that things are getting too serious, I like to tell purposely bad jokes. I like the awkward glances people give when you tell a really bad joke. :)
(If you really want to impress me, send me a bad pick-up line...it might just work...)
The girl I am looking for is someone that is cute and sweet who would like to take adventures through this wonderful and diverse city. Restaurants, movies, museums, plays, baseball games, parks, etc. A girl that enjoys to laugh...especially at dry and sometimes ridiculous sense of humor.
-Most Pixar films
-Step Brothers (I quote it often)
-Game of Thrones
-The Walking Dead
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
For a first date, I say we do something low-key like rob a bank, vandalize some art, and take ice cream away from children all while riding unicorns and listening to the soundtrack of "Smokey and the Bandit."
If that isn't your speed, something like grabbing a coffee at Starbucks, meeting at a cafe, or strolling through a park would be nice. Honestly, I am game for something that allows us to talk and get to know each other...but I would rather ride the unicorns...
And if you play your cards right, I just might upgrade your coffee to a venti.
