I came to SF by way of DC and Texas - think mix of margarita lover by the lake meets debate watcher . I am fun and outgoing and can even hover on the silly side, especially when I'm too stressed out. I just got back from Australia and NZ and think I found my new love (too bad it is 15 hours away!).
My hobbies include hiking, running, yoga, salsa (or tango?) dancing, reading, cooking (think homemade tomato sauce) and hopefully in the near future diving or surfing. I climbed Half Dome last summer - I have to say it was a great accomplishment at the end but don't think I'll be doing it again....views were spectacular though!
I do have a quiet side and down time is also very important to me. I love zipping around town in my Mini Cooper, although starting it on a hill still eludes me. This makes for some very creative problem solving like 1) not really stopping, 2) pulling up next to someone that is on a flatter part of the hill while having them look at me in confusion, or 3) waiting at the bottom of the hill until there are no cars and then zooming ahead. Hey, I didn't say any of them were great ideas. If someone gives me the secret trick, I'm all ears. Other than that, I hold my own and am not bad at parallel parking.
What I look for in a great partner changes often, most likely, I've decided, because there is no 'right' formula. I want to find someone that challenges me - intellectually and emotionally - but that also doesn't take life to seriously. Hopefully you like sparring over the important issues of our time, whether it is debating politics, or why we should care about Kim Kardashian's baby (answer: we shouldn't). A good sense of humor is key and I need someone that can take a little ribbing from me - I am nice but can also dish it, what about you? Finally, I need someone that doesn't look for the drama in relationships and that can resolve conflicts with maturity and respect.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
As in what would I do, or what was my first date ever (as in when I was 15)? I will assume the former - would be great to grab a drink and see how long we could go before talking about work.
