I'm a 3rd year Biology major / pre-med student at the University of Cincinnati. This is a career change for me, as I spent a long while playing music for a living. I still play for fun and occasionally participate in ensembles as a guest, but that's about it.
I suppose I'm in it for the long con, as the saying goes. I'll be in school for years, but I don't mind. It's sometimes surreal and euphoric to be a student of Biology. The mechanisms that sustain life are profoundly complex; there aren't any available words to express the beauty of a developing embryo. Do you think so, too? Do you consider the theory of evolution to be valid? If not, well, maybe we can visit the arc exhibit, and you can walk home.
I like good discussions, and it'd be awesome to find someone who shares a similar head space and perspective on the world. I'm attracted to kindness, curiosity and knowledge reception.
Music is an integral part of my life. It seems weird to even have to explain that. Usually my driving music involves some sort of djent / progressive metal / blues / virtuoso guitar group. I've spent over half my life admiring and developing virtuosity on the guitar, and it's my go-to. Anything that has slick instrumentalists in it will capture my attention, and this spans all genres. Of course, I like pop music and rock bands that play on the radio; a lot of music is nostalgic. I don't really like that much rap, sorry. I think the beastie boys sound like crap.
Send me a message, I'll talk about anything.
