About Me
I'm an astronomer and a bookworm. I spend most of my time doing astronomy these days because I love it and it pays what bills I have, but I like to think that my interests are a bit broader than just that. As much as I love the sciences, I'd be happy if I were given a book from any of the Dewey decimal categories.
I'm passionate about classical music, particularly modern music. (Though I don't listen to it exclusively -- I'm not one of those people.) I try to play the piano every day. It's super relaxing. Especially Debussy.
I'm in grad school at OSU studying for my PhD right now. I'd eventually like to get a faculty job at a university somewhere. If that doesn't work out I'd be happy with a job in industry as well (i.e. a "real job").
In the meantime, though, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about life, the universe, and everything and make life a little more pleasant for those around me (or at least a little more entertaining).
