Ok...here it goes.
My goals are simple: create a positive and memorable childhood for my kids, make sure the work I'm doing makes a difference, and share it all with someone.
I do better with conversation. So, if you're interested, ask.
Some things I love:
Discussion (speaking and listening), reading, watching movies, running, working out, spending time outdoors, camping, hunting, shooting my bow, coffee, good beer (emphasis on the "good"), wine, spending time with people, and my kiddos.
Traits I find attractive:
Humility, confidence, compassion, ability to carry on a conversation about anything, vulnerability, intimacy, and trustworthiness.
Traits I find unattractive:
Entitlement without effort, self-righteousness, unwillingness to admit wrongdoing, dishonesty, lack of loyalty, perspective of "That's just the way I am, deal with it" (there is always room for refining and improving of one's self), and a predisposition toward dramatics.
I can be both Type A and B depending on the situation. I can be ultra-competitive, and nonchalant when it comes to games/activities. Scrabble...ultra-competitive. Mario Party...nonchalant :) I'm very good at small talk but truly appreciate the opportunity to get to know someone of a level that far exceeds superficial. I understand this takes a lot of trust and can be uncomfortable, but I believe it to be necessary to sustain a long-term relationship. I often quote movies and hope to find someone that will know what I'm talking about when the random script comes through in everyday conversation. Laughing is important. After the initial phase of getting to know someone...it is crucial that humor remain. I'm big on communication. So if you struggle with this, we may not be a good fit.
