A little bit about me. Some say I'm a bit intense and it's true, but when I'm super stressed just give me a sketchbook and I will mellow in no time. Art, expression grounds me. I am also pretty adventurous, will try anything once but I have to admit I am not the most graceful creature on earth but surely one of the most tenacious! My friends are the best, I love food and cooking [although I sure have a lot to learn in this arena] and I am passionate about trying new things and exploring all that urban life offers!
My greatest fear is mediocrity. My greatest joy is laughing and my sincerest hope is to find someone to laugh with. I do wish the 'What best describes your intent with respect to dating' question had a Not sure option! Because I really do just like to let things unfold [I'm not a planner] so to be clear, I'm not opposed to a relationship just not seeking one out - I'll leave that planning stuff for my career.
Speaking of which, I'm an architect, until 2009 I worked for one of those big name firms & then the economy went well, you know. Today I am taking it one day at a time, for a bit I was the in-house architect for a gourmet popcorn company [just wrapping up a 7 month contract gig] it was good because I made some life long friends but it is time to refocus my energy and move forward. I hope to take my 2D biz [crossover skills are crucial] and expand it to include the 3D world that I crave! It will be challenging I'm sure, but maybe I can make a difference within some Chicago Communities. It's my mission to stay focused, positive and strong and make life even better.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
...does not matter what, just who! That said I am impressed by odd, creative first meetings, for example you're into boxing ..why not give me a lesson. or you are passionate about X why not introduce me to whatever it is ...
