About Me

I was on the east coast for 8 years getting my Ph.D. and just moved back to California. I am sooo happy to not have to deal with the winters on the east coast and I love the fact that there are sunny, warm days in California in the middle of February! I grew up in Northern California, got my B.S. and M.A. in San Diego (loved the beaches there and the mexican food!) and just finished my Ph.D. in Boston. Now I'm looking forward to the next phase of my life. There are so many great things to do in the Bay Area and so little time! I like meeting friends at new restaurants in the city, exploring different areas of San Francisco or the East Bay, going on hikes, spending time with family and good friends, meeting new people an so on. I would describe myself as down to earth, ambitious, like trying new things, into my work but trying to make time for other things in life, thoughtful, eclectic...I am half Indian and half white, so a mix :)
