I finished my BFA in Creative Writing. I spend most of my time either writing or playing Minecraft (yes, I am probably addicted to it. Better that than drugs! XD ) I watch a few shows, but mostly online, via Amazon, Netflix and Hulu. I'm also big on internet-only shows. I watch a lot of YouTube and BlipTV shows. I find I get more enjoyment from them than most regular television. I hope that doesn't sound pretentious, it's just that I find myself online more than not, so I watch stuff like that more.
I think my biggest thing right now is carving a niche for myself. I have a definite idea of how I want the next couple of years play out, the challenge is getting there. It's about managing myself, and that is turning out to be a challenge as well. I have positive hopes. ??
I'm writing an anthology of stories as my latest project. I started writing (at least) 500 words a day to get into shape for November, which is National Novel Writing Month. I'll get my 50k words in and then I can get it edited and see where things go from there. Being a writer is a tightrope, and I hope the idea of that doesn't scare people away. I'm not romanticizing writing either. Writing is hard work, anyone who says otherwise has never written anything longer than a term paper. As hard as putting the words down is, getting them out there and noticed is worse. You really have to shake your tushie to get any sort of traction, even online. But that doesn't matter to me. I've wanted this since I was a kid, and I'll make it happen. It'd be nice to have a companion on that journey. :)
I like mostly pop and rock music. I have a lot of 80s music in my playlist. It's what I grew up with, and I have a deep abiding love for that era's music.
