I'm putting my call out to the universe.... and it's all about the law of attraction.
As an RN with an interest in "living with intention" and holistic health n' wellness, I'm a square peg in a round hole in the suburban sprawl of Boston. Some people tell me I would fit in well with the people in Colorado but I've never been there. I eat a mostly vegan diet with the occasional exception of fish, so I'm not much for ice cream socials or steaks, chicken or burgers n' dogs on the grill and therefore tend to scare away potential love interests. I try to avoid sugar, GMO produce, hormones, pesticides and acidity, but I'm not 100%.... still have some inner work to do. I'm definitely not one to watch the "game" so if you have to check on the score while you're on a date, you're probably not the one for me. I hope to be with a like minded person (Somewhat of a Rebel) who'd like to co-create a friendship that leads to passion filled love and life. There's someone for everyone, right?
I like to get out every now and then for a fix of live music and am oftentimes the "one" that gets people up and dancing but I'm just as content dancing in the kitchen or home studio. Would love to have company for such times. I prefer African, Latin-Caribbean Funk, Middle Eastern at times, Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Reggae, Zydeco, throw in some Jazz, a bit of Loreena McKennitt, meditative Zen like gongs and singing bowls, and maybe a touch of Native American flute and drums..... sacred to the Soul! I adapt to the seasons and enjoy kinetic energy.... things that give you that wind in the face, great to be alive kind of feeling.... kayaking, rollerblading, trail hikes/runs, snowshoeing, poi/staff/hoop and fire dancing/performing, music festivals, open mics and the like.
To balance out the stresses of life at large, I practice active meditations with an eclectic mix of qigong, yoga (acroyoga is on my bucket list), dance, tai chi and spinning movements.... I call it the "Softer side of Martial Arts." I'm not at all a fighter but do appreciate the movements and the home workouts. Drinking green smoothies with lemon, ginger and tumeric in the morning help to cleanse, regenerate and rejuvenate. Yes, I may be active, but I can settle down after a full day for some quality R & R to take in a sunset or gaze into a blazing fire. I like to savor the moment.... do you?
