I am an Irishman who loves telling a good story as much as listening to one. I live in a small home on the side of a mountain where it is quiet and peaceful. I am retired and love the fact that every day is pretty much a Saturday. If it's a nice day out, I like to go down to the river and catch a few trout. I love being outside with mother nature and enjoying all that she has to offer. I have a cool dog 'Rachel' and she is such a good dog to hang out with, and of course she hates the word "bath". Lol. Some of my hobbies include: cooking, going to yard sales & second-hand shops looking for interesting treasures, metal detecting, fresh water fishing and in the winter; ice fishing, and when the weather is right; going to new places on my Harley. Maybe stopping at the American Legion for a few laughs and a cold beer, or just watching a softball game at the Legion with a few friends. I like listening to classic rock & roll music and also some jazz or soft blues. I have three grown up sons (one passed away) that blessed me with six beautiful grandchildren that I truly love from the bottom of my heart - three girls & three boys. My sons and grandchildren all live on Long Island (yes, I am a transplant). I love being called Poppa & Grandpa by my offspring. #***# I am seeking a woman who is pretty, and of course intelligent with a good sense of humor. It would be very nice if she lived local - maybe in Clinton County (or close to it) like I do! A long distance relationship is not what I am seeking. Please be fair and have a resent picture of yourself on this dating sight. I sure hope that I am not asking for too much! I look at every morning as a gift from God, because tomorrow isn't promised to any of us.... God Bless Our Troops & of course Tiny Tim....
Go out to lunch or dinner and enjoy a good meal. Maybe find a place that has soft relaxing music to listen to, and then sit and talk about each other and find out if the chemistry is there between us. Let's hope there is a second date. We could be right for each other - we won't know until we give it a go.
