About Me
After moving back to my hometown and becoming newly single, my best friend wanted me to try this site. I normally believe in meeting people in person first, and to let things happen naturally. The intent/looking for choices are a little confusing to me, but essentially, I'm not ready for any relationship and just want to date. I am a newer mom, she is 3 years old, and like most parents, my world revolves around her. That being said, my availability is much more limited, but not impossible to plan ahead for. I've been in the bar/club scene, yet do not consider them places where I would look for anyone to date, really just hang out, watch a game and play pool.
I'm an interior designer with huge interest in architecture and sustainable design, so if you're a cynic about the environment, it wont work with me :)
I am an active person from an athletic family, so I participate in sports and watch them constantly. I love film, and spent almost 10 years living in Los Angeles/Hollywood area, so the film industry is very familiar to me. Music is something I cannot survive without, I will pull over to put on I song I want to hear for specific moments. I can listen to anything, but am picky, and will tolerate all types of music, but some more than others. Since i was married to a musician, my entire life was involved in the music industry for about 10 years. I am a cat person, but love and respect all animals a lot.
This dating site experience is kind of nice because it makes you think about what it is you really need in a person. After some consideration, it was pretty easy to specify about 4 major criteria that makes a man, a man:
Takes his job/career seriously
Has a good relationship with his mother
Keeps healthy and active
Says what he means and means what he says
I am a very straightforward person, so I am drawn to those that are too. My sense of humour is dry and sarcastic, so it helps if you are, or that you understand that type of humour. There is a difference between being dry and witty and being rude and having "no filter". Since I work in the design industry, it is important for me to be able to go to my events with you and you be able to hang, should things progress to that point.
Lastly, I am impatient when it comes to texts and chat. I dont find it very productive to message back and forth over days and weeks just to have a three word conversation, so if you are interested in getting to know me more and actually see how funny and endearing I am, you can message me, and if I want to talk, I will give you my number so we can actually see if there is some chemistry. I am a talker, I love phone, not text/chat only. That is basically an old school thing, not a psycho chic thing. If you get all of this, then you're already part of the way there!
